Jim, did you add an extension top to Sophie's cage? It looks really neat.

Yes I did I did "add on" to the top of Sophie's cage. Zoey's on the left is also home made. BUT, I'm going to be getting a store bought for Zoey eventually. I'm also about to change out what the addition on Sophie's cage is made of. The new micro waves I install here have a metal looking tray in them that will be less worry some for me then the galv. mesh.

Jim I love the mesh patio door idea and the playgym, wow! And yes Leigh, once I find my digital camera, I'll ask my son to post the pics of my daughters room. I am leaning towards another jungle theme for the birds area. Like you said, painting is easy, if you don't like it, prime and do it again! With that being said, I would leave the tree. It is really pretty!

Hey we did it! Here is her room. (Excuse the mess!) If you look above the headboard to the left, is the macaw, and right above the middle of the bed is the monkeys arm! Now mind you, when this was first done, she had nothing in front of it, but the newness has worn off and she moved her room around and blocked it. But she tells me it feels like she is sleeping under a tree! Enjoy!

That is really great! I would really like to do something for my kids' room, but we have to wait until we have our own house. I don't think the Army would appreciate my artwork! LOL

Thank you! It was alot of fun doing it. I love painting murals. I have done quite a few in our home. But now I really seem to be getting "painters block" on this mural for behind the cage! Thanks so much for posting all your ideas! They have really given me inspiration for making my birds area fun! Hope you all have a Hoppy Easter!

Lol Amanda that makes me remember something. When my brother was in the army he told me about a man who's girlfriend spent all his bonus on beautifying the garden at his home as a surprise for when he got back from Timor, only to have the boyfriend explode because it was army housing and they had to move two weeks after he returned

Here's a 360 view of the bird/computer room. I should have lightened the pix up some, as they're too dark, but what can I say? I'm lazy :-). Since you asked for decorating, that was my emphasis--showing what's on the walls. It's not a pretty room (I hate the wallpaper that came with the house, but haven't got 'round to replacing it or painting over it, yet), but it's functional. The Goons mostly sleep in their cages except if I'm not home. The rest of the time they're in the LR on perches....
