Our bird room also doubles as our computer room, and is in the room that used to be our master suite. Decorations include framed art and photographs (including two of myself with some of my birds), laminated Bird Talk posters, a beautiful, realistic-looking Scarlet macaw made from a steel drum and purchased on Ebay, various figurines, and some garden flag macaws in the glass door that leads to the outside. It's not a big room, and not pretty, as it still has the original grey floral wallpaper on the walls that was here when we bought the house, but it does the job for now.

Pics are too technical for me.....our macaws are in our 20x30 rec room, which is where my husband's home office and recording studio is and our our tv area is as well. Their cages are there, and their manzanita tree, hanging manzanita tree, and hanging rope thing (is that the boing?) lots of toys hanging from the ceiling, and I just had laminite floors put in down there. There are 2 skylights and just enough windows. The walls are a dark sand brown. I have alot of bamboo around, including bamboo blinds from target, which was there before the birds arrived!!! We also have alot of plants everywhere, (safe ones) . Our Tiel is kept upstairs in the living room, but she has a table top tree and a hanging perch on the other side of the room downstairs in the rec room as well. FYI....Lowes has alot of tropical looking accessories, like light fixtures and ceiling fans and stuff. Good luck!

Ok.. so no one else is brave enough to post photos of their cages??? Sheesh. I will...

This is the only photo I could find that is sorta current and of only half the cages. I will take a photo later this afternoon of the other half.. and maybe the bird room...

The birds in the photo do not necessarily represent the bird that lives in the cage it is sitting on. My birds free roam the house during out of cage time.

Cages from right to left.. Velcro, Cisco, Ben & Eddie, Zeke & Smokey, Otis & Skittles. The Toos were in the kitchen that day, not unlike any other day, playing in their toy box.

Deb that is an awesome set up! I love how you strung the rope from the ceiling!

I took a bunch more photos, but I was just informed that I need to run out for a bit. I will post them in a couple of hours. I got photos of everything, including the "bird room".

Great, I can't wait to see them! What you have in that pic looks great, I too love the rope.

Living Room (who needs a fireplace when you have a GW Macaw!)

Living Room into Dining Room

Dining Room (Table serves as Caique play area)

Bird Room with Cockatoo sleeping cages in center (Normally all the birds are out and flying, but I have not let them out yet for the day) Plan includes new play/perch area to hang above sleeping cages. Work in progress for many years now...

Oh wow Deb, you have your own little pet shop there, lol. Everything is so clean and neat too, I can barely keep up with my four! You must be wonder woman!

Trust me.. by the end of the day (now that all the birds are out) it will look like a tornado ripped through here. I will spend an hour vacuuming and dusting and changing papers and wiping up poop off the mats.

Sometimes I think I am too OC to be keeping birds. <smile>
