Default Cage Switching Question

Ollie and I will be staying at my parents house for 2 weeks or so during wheat harvest. I'll be in the field from about 10 am to 11pm or later. Right now Ollie is out of her cage for well over half of her 12 awake hours. During these 2 weeks she will see about an hour of out of cage time daily. Not only that, I can't bring her big cage with me.

I'm considering switching Ollie and Dakota around. Putting him in her travel cage, and her in his cage. Here is a picture of his cage:

They've been around each other for about 2 years, off and on. Never had contact, but they've been in the same bedroom with each other for sometimes weeks at a time. Do I need to do more than what I usually do to clean his cage (spray water mixed with GSE all over it, let sit for awhile, scrub if need be, then powerwash clean)?

Does anybody see any problems with this plan?

I don't see a problem unless Dakota is very fond of his cage, being in the same bedroom with switched cages may make them get agro with each other. As far a disease goes if they where going to infect each other it would have happened by now, so I don't see that as part of the consideration. The toys will be swopped I guess.

They can be kept in separate rooms after the switch if need be. They really don't seem to acknowledge each other at all though. Yes, everything belonging to each bird would follow them to the other cage.

That is what I thought about the disease aspect Angie. Thanks for confirming that.

I did the same thing with Harley and Echo. Honestly, they have never put up a fight. I took them both away from their cages and cleaned them out. Everything got scrubbed down. I put in toys, perches, new food, things that they love, etc to make it look like their own. I first took Echo and out her on the dome top. At first, she was apprehensive, but after a few minutes was beginning to sewe tis was her's. Harley was a little more of a struggle. She doesn't do well with new things so I set up her play stand by the cage. After 10 or so minutes, she was eating and playing and all was good
