Thats the good thing about budgies, they don't chew up stuff. Ok if they find a book maybe, but that seems to be only when someone is reading the book. An unattended book has no play value. It is possible I simply don't notice but they have never chewed a wire or eaten a remote, cell phone or anything like that. They enjoy their own gym and toys.

My fids are out all night until the next morning. They are caged prior to leaving for work. I am fortunate that they don't really go investigating - well, except for my grey. She must be supervised at all times.

I have 1 B&G who is out 24/7 If you put her in a cage she will disassemble the doors or feeder doors and come out. She will not go to the floor, But will not stay in a cage either. so she hangs out on top of her cage (it is a play top cage)
