Hi there! I went to try to donate, but computer idiot I am, I can't figure out where. I tried to go to savegulliver@hotmail.com and it said that that page couldn't be found. What to do??? Help please.

Karen, who is actually recieving the money and, besides the macaw's daily needs, what is the money going towards? Do we know? On the website, it says that Gulliver will eventually be homed at The Oasis in AZ. Has anyone gotten in touch with Senator McCain? I'm not a Republican but this is an opportunity for him to make some brownie points with a group that doesn't necessarily lean his way......and bring Gulliver home to the Oasis!

Gini, I didn't see anything in his story that says specifically what the donations will be used for. After reading his story I would assume care, vet and flight costs.

I have sent an email asking some questions. I'll let everyone know when I hear back from them.

Well, as of now we are planning on using the donation money to cover the cost of flights to and from Christmas Island (where Gulliver will soon be hopefully). We are also planning on using some to cover the cost of a licensed veterinarian who will be required to administer at least two testings on Gulliver to make sure he is free of the exotic Newcastle virus. This will need to be done on Christmas Island, so a licensed vet as well as all necessary supplies will need to be flown in.

Thank you so much again for your interest in saving this wonderful bird. Without the help and encouraging words of people from all around the world, we couldn't have even gotten this far. We saved Snickers, and we can do the same for Gulliver.

Best Friends, which is helping, is one of the best organizations around, and Sybil Erden at the Oasis has agreed to give Gulliver a new home. This is a wonderful collaboration!! I have hopes that Gulliver will make it.
