Default Bird toys? or food?

I picked up some indian corn today at the grocery store... I am going to put them in the cages today and see what the birds think.. I seen them at a pet store once and they wanted 6.00 for 2 little ears..
I got 6 ears for 2 bucks...
Well they did not like the ears of corn... So I decided to try and pop it...

It popped really cool... I am going to see how they like it tomorrow...

I hope they are not scared of it... if they are I have a lot of popped corn to give them...
Well they loved it popped! it took a couple of days to get used to it... but now I pop an ear.. and it takes them no time to devoure it!

Try putting it in a paper bag... roll up the end put it in about 2 minutes... and see how they like it popped!

I just put the whole cob in a bag... put it in for about 2 min...and remove it from the oven... be careful to wait a little before you open the bag... but it stays on the ear like that... but there is also some in the bag..

That is very cool, if they don't like the cobs you pop them, and if they don't liked the popped, you do while your are watching your favorite movie! How much better can it get!

Thanks for the idea. Nelly loves the corn cob toys I buy her but they are expensive for the amount of time it takes her to go through them. I never thought of the indian corn. [i] had been buying the little ones in the pack and sliding them into one of those millet holders and hanging it in her cage. took her a little more time to get through that.
