I make the majority of Ollie and Dakota's. I do order ALL toy parts online, and occasionally buy a few cool-looking toys if I'm already making a toy parts order. I always only buy toys that I can't easily make myself, so they get some extra variety.
I've purchased a few toys in pet stores, but I prefer not to. I'm worried about "germys," and the toys online are better than what is sold in the stores around here anyways.
| Camille, I do exactly what you do. I do like looking in the one nice bird store we have here to get ideas though.
In my area the majority of toys are not packaged and I have always questioned this practice in a store where they have birds in and out, birds shopping and people touching them. So I try to stick to only purchasing packaged toys or ones I know I can completely wash without wrecking them before using them. |
