Default Bird Show Haul...And Help???

well, i did pretty well at the bird show got a nice variety of perches, a few large SS buckets which i filled with foot toys, pellets and nutriberries, a HUGE wood swing, and a few large wood hanging toys. then i came home and ordered a bunch of toy parts and foot toys with my friend; we are going to have a toy making party when the boxes arrive.

i dumped off most of the stuff with my breeder, who was at the show, so she can put everything in ivy's cage so she can get used to it and have an easier time transitioning to my home. but i will have to take photos of her cage setup when she gets home. should be pretty cool!

i am still at a loss of what to buy in the way of a seed mix. my breeder told me to buy a bag of dried fruit and a bag of shelled nuts and mix them together. but what they had at the bird show looked LOADED with sulfites and the shelled nut mixes were mostly peanuts. help? is there a good place to buy these online? i am getting worried about feeding the right thing. i will of course be talking to my vet, but i still need to have SOME food here for a few days. i am feeling a bit frantic....

a mix of large nuts and fruits, didn't seem to be any brand in particular. she doesn't seem big on naturals though, and i am. i could have bought large bags of the nuts and fruits today at the show, but the fruits i could tell were loaded with sulfites and the nut bags were mostly peanuts.

Well, I don't know much about food for the big guys, but it sounds to me as if Miss Ivy is going to have the best of everything and the Greatest Mommy in the world! I'm so very excited for you! I can hardly wait to see pictures!!!

karen, you always manage to save me from panicking lol!

that berry farms store is amazing! i am definitely keeping that on file for when i know ivy's favorites. i plan on feeding mostly fresh foods, but i really want the dry stuff on hand too, especially in case of emergencies.

i'd seen the parrots on the porch bird bread mix, but i didn't know they made food mixes as well! they sound really nice and organic!! i hope ivy will share, lol.

thank you so much, i feel my blood pressure coming back down to normal now
