My husband had the idea.. He was going to change up the bird room... He needed a little help from me...haaa... a little help... Well since we moved in, the basement has been a storage area... a lot of everyones stuff in boxes.. well my job is to figure what goes where... and what boxes belong to who...and get rid of them.. So we can have a basement.. also..
Well this is where we are so far... It is really looking good. and it is so much easier to feed & whathave you...
Canaries
Linnies & P'Lets
So that is where we are so far.. got a lot more to do... but I am quite pleased with it so far...
Holy Moly Girl that's a lot of cages! Good for you - clearing up the basement might have seemed like a thankless job but it already looks great.
Getting rid of 'boxed' items can be a real breath of fresh air - no pun intended. Even around here I always feel rejuvenated when I throw old stuff away, that I've been clinging to.
Bet you feel great - if a bit stiff after all that work. You did get help though didn't you?
Yuppers in a few years our entire house will be all cages and animals galore lol. Our house might look like your bird room only with reptiles and birds a mix. Who knows ferrets and whatever else we deside to add to the crowd lol. We love our animals. ~Jenna
Yes, Michigan... boy, am I getting really tired of winter...
Yes, I am getting help from my husband.. moving this and that... from here to there..LOL
I have a couple of breeders that prefer the bottom row.. I tried to move them around... and they were not happy..
We are still working on lighting... I just got a new light yesterday.. and we are trying to figure out some lower lighting... we have our lighting set on 3 different timers.. to slowly go on and then off...
So what birds do you breed. Oh and the winter thing. I am so sick of snow its not even funny. I loved it at first because I am from MO. I have lived in MI only a little under 2 years now. In MO you dont see a whole lot of snow. Snow is a 4 to 5 times of year thing and its usually only about 1 to 3 inches and 3 is on the top end of things. If MO gets 3 or even 2 everything gets shut down. Its more common for there to be 1 to 2 on the ground than there is 3 inches. Its really crazy this year because last year it didnt seem so much. It is like this year it just dont want to leave.
