Default Bird Plans for the Future

what bird(s) do you want to bring home to live with you in the future and why? what number do you think you would top out at?

i don't think i could do any more than 3, MAYBE 4 in a special situation. i will never again "buy" an animal, only rescue. i feel that it's my duty. i don't think i could handle another large bird. but maybe one day a cockatiel friend for artemis. or a pionus or similarly sized bird. far in the future, couldn't be in this house we live in now. as much as i love the idea of rescuing a cockatoo, i don't think i could ever have the emotional strength for it.

i would LOVE to have the resources, time, and space one day to maintain a setup like beatriz's. but that might only be in my dreams, and i might have to stick to rescuing just a few.

I don't know if there will be any more birds in my future. Bf has made it clear that he's perfectly content to keep Ollie an only fid. I keep telling him that we're going to keep an open mind. I'd love for Ollie to have an african grey buddy, especially in the future when I have a career, kids, etc...and more than likely, less time to spend with her. I definitely can't see myself having more than 2 parrots at a time.

I don't know about getting anymore fids, I've got four now and that's enough to keep me busy every day, besides having the Grandkids all day too, but if I could have another fid, I would love a Hy!!! I've always wanted one, but doubt I'll ever be able to afford one. Hubby says no more and besides I'm planning on breeding Blondie and Dagwood some day so that should be enough kids and fids to keep me on my toes,LOL!

My birdroom is full and I would not consider taking in any new birds unless it was a companion to the ones that are alone and only if it was one of those situations where you cannot say no... like the aggressive, completely plucked, very loud ekkie - would would have taken the poor thing in?

No plans here to add more birds. We totally enjoy our flock as it is.

No more birds for me. I am very happy just the way things are and I think my fids are, too.

I'm happy now, but I would eventually like to get at least 1 other bird. Either a Linnie or a GCC. But not now, not enough room.

Right now, 6 is all I have the room and time for....

However, one day when I have a real career and am settled morw with a house and some more money, then there will definitly be more fids in my future...

I dont know what yet... I would definitly see more amazons and macaws in my future... I've always wanted a hawk head...

It all depends on what the future holds for me... There is tons of space in my heart for more birdies, just not in my apartment or bank account at the moment.

One of my dreams is to help by fostering birds one day...

Right now it's just Bella. In the future I would like another TAG, CAG, or even a Red Fronted Macaw. I think Bella maybe happier with another grey in the house.
