i voted vet, since i would bring valo to the vet to have his wings clipped (which i don't)... i also took him there to get his toenails clipped during a physical... i try to trim his nails at home, but he's not thrilled about it and so far our success has been limited in that respect...

I'm an "Other" too. I trim Willis' wings myself. I keep Tully flighted so I don't mess with him, and I am far too big of a chicken to do nails or beaks myself. I'm afraid I'll end up hurting someone, so I leave that to the professionals. The vet.

I voted "other" because Jasmine's sandy perch keeps her nails and beak nice and trim!

I voted other because i do it myself unless i am feeling lazy and then i let the vet do it, (she only charges $6 for a macaw so its pretty cheap)

I said I do it myself - I trim my mom's Tiels nails. They're flighted. My Budgie - well he has yet to get a nail trim - his nails are long but they allow him to cling to all sorts of stuff so i think they must be OK. He has a concrete perch beside his water tower so he uses it every day.

Beak trims if that was ever an issue - well i think a Vet is necessary.

I don't clip wings or trim their beaks. Once in a blue moon, I might trim their nails but they tend to keep them well in order themselves.

So I am an "other"!

I generally take the Goons to the Hut and have Deb do their nails when she's at work there. Sometimes she does it at my house--usually if it involves Bob, because he stresses out when I take him to the Hut. He's about due for some tail feather pulling, as his are ALL broken off short. I have a blue "amazon" at the house until new feathers grow out :-).
