I don't think Beast is quite ready for a hug, but I do tell him how clever he is. Remember I am still the baddie in his eyes.

He sure looked feisty in the photos. Don' t think I'd take his attitude lightly.

Hows feeding the baby going on? Has he mastered it? Is the baby doing well?

I checked again today twice because the band went on yesterday and sometimes the parent takes the band off again. The baby is big and well fed. The eyes are almost completely open. I have to be really careful as those beaks can take chunks of flesh, so far he just lunges but does not actually get me. He gets to about 3 inches from my hand, even on the back of a hand he can damage, no chance I will let him see my fingers he is sure to bite then.

Well you have to give him full marks for his protective measures. He's investing all his energy on this chick - its very important to him. What a sweetie - thankfully he hasn't hurt you.

He is still doing great. I take a really quick peek every day. It does not help him to interfere too much.
