Default Bar spacing for poicephalus

Hello all,

Right now i'm looking for one large cage for all of my poi's, because apparently an indoor aviary won't work for us. Currently i have three cages that are around 24x24x24, but each individual cage takes a lot of time to clean. So I was thinking that i could buy one large cage for them all to live in, because they all get along.

The cage i'm looking at has 1" bar spacing, but i'm thinking that might be a little too big for a poicephalus. Would that be okay?

Here is a picture and the dimensions of the cage.

*1" Bar Spacing.
*Inside Height 45"
*5mm bar gauge.
*Durable, non-toxic, powder coated paint finish.
*Horizontal side bars, Vertical bars front & back.
*Front door safety latch.
*4 swing out feeder doors.
*Breeder Door.
*6 stainless steel bowls and 3 perches.
*Locking food bowls.
*Built-in seed catcher (add 4" all around).
*Large front door for easy access.
*Slide-out grill & tray for easy cleaning.
*4 easy rolling casters.
*Knocks down for compact storage.

What do you all think?

I think one inch is too big, Hayley. 5/8 inch is about optimal, and a large Poi, like an Un-Cape could probably do 3/4. I just went through this getting Tausi a new cage. I'd be pretty nervous with anything over 5/8, you don't want them to even start to think that they can get their head through the bars.

This is like Tausi's new cage: VICTORIAN OPENING TOP 32"x23" POWDER COATED - VICTORIAN CAGES by Bird Paradise but I don't know that it would be large enough for three. I doubt it. Its a challenge to find anything larger that doesn't also have larger bar spacing.

Its a beautiful cage! I would imagine it would last a lot of years and be easy to maintain.

Well, as it turns out we're going to have a stainless steel cage built custom made for us. Thanks for your suggestions though!
