Default Badly infected finger

Ive become complacent with my bites from the birds. Yesterdays incident left me bleeding for some time. After it dried it didnt look bad after all. It wasnt long before I was outside cutting grass yesterday. Then as the day went on the bite marks became more obvious and the one is much deeper than I thought. More of a puncture. Normally when Alex gets me is spreads wide open so I know how bad it is. Mr Buddy had a different impact. Last night at bedtime, Dr Alex who has to pick every scab, get every freckle, pull every hair, noticed the deep bite and tried to work on it for me. He stuck his beak right in it. Not viciously but enough to irritate it. This morning I woke to feeling my finger was very big. I cleared my eyes and realized it looked like a volcano full of puss. So I braced myself, went down low on the finger and started to squeeze my way up and out comes the puss. Its bad and full of lots of really yellow brown crap. All I could do wash clean it with peroxide and put neosporin on it. Im keeping an eye on this one.

Oh yuck yuck yuck!! That sounds very painful! I have no advice because nothing like this has ever happened to me, but I hope it's better soon!

please watch that infection carefully! If the puss gets into your joins on your fingers you could have a urgent issue on your hands.

yeah I know. This one has me a little flipped. I have an antibiotic that I take before I go to the dentist. I think I might take a round as a precaution. I had a really hard time getting out of bed today. I hope its not in my blood already. Mr nasty pants came out with my arm wrapped in a towel today! Not taking any chances here!

Puss... From a bite...
If it gets shiny and red, don't put off seeing a Dr.

Pure soap and sugar makes an effective poultice. I feel for you I have had cuticles get infected after bird bites.
