Default a bad night

Hey guys!
I know I'm guilty of not coming around lately. . . but I've been sooo busy with work. We've been doing great. Miss Gracie is still spoiled rotten of course as well!

It's 5 am and I'm up right now with my little Gracie. (I wish I were sleeping still!) All night she's been scared or something. While in my room I heard a couple of crashes like she fell and hit the bottom of her cage. After the 2nd one I came to see if something was wrong. I found my baby at the bottom of her cage just acting scared. When I got her out she kept looking back at her cage at something. So you know i'm thinking is there a bug. . . or spider or something like that in her cage. But there was nothing. So I attempted to put her back on her favorite perch. As soon as I did she jumped off to the bottom of her cage looking up in terror breathing really heavily! What in the WORLD is going on here!?? Maybe she decided one of her toys is scary? There is nothing in her cage that is brand new. Just some new toys at Christmas. But that was forever ago. Right now she's sitting on her cage door peering back to her cage.

This is the first time she's ever done this. Any ideas guys??

Kris, I'm just seeing this on the news right now. Sounded like it was felt quite heavily in some areas. I hope Gracie Lou forgets all about it by tonight.

Poor Gracie (and you!) - hopefully today is a better day. I just started a post about the earthquake, I didn't realize that's what your post was about too. My birds up here in Michigan even felt it!

Oh miss Gracie seems fine now. ya know it's funny. . . last night I woke up and swore the room was shaking. Then I heard Gracie hit the bottom of her cage. But I just thought I was having a weird dream about the shaking. Josh got home this morning and asked me if I felt it. I'm like I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY!!

So did anyone else feel it?? the new's says it was a 4.5 Earth wake.
(LOL this is big for me because I've never felt one)

Ive learned to pay attention when they act out. Even the birds outside know, and I watch for out of the ordinary. She is your guardian angel Kris! She wanted you out of that room.

Ya know I'm really amazed of how they pick up on things like that. When I went back to bed this morning i had my window open. At the time I didn't think much of it but the birds outside were going nuts. They were really loud.

We just had another really small one. What's going on around here anyway!!

kiss Gracie for us! And pay attention. They will warn you if another after shock is coming. Keep her cage away from anything that is not nailed down and away from glass or mirrors. Good luck! I hope this was the last of it.
