I thought today that I'd put JubJub outside with Mickey and Piper (in his own cage still, Mickey's way too protective of his babies), and let him have some fresh air and sunshine.

Well, I just went back out (I'd been busy for 1/2 an hour), and he's gone! Tiana had tried to give him a "present" and left his door open! I'm so sad, he was starting to get used to me really well :'(.

We've put up ads around the area, and online too, but nothing yet. I'm really hoping someone finds my birdie!

My only consolation if he isn't found is that there are so many Red Rump flocks in this area that he should be able to find one and survive. I just hope we can get him back.

Still no news . I'm really hoping someone calls soon. I went walking around the area to see if I could find him, but didn't see anything. We've left his cage outside with the door open, hoping he'll come back looking for food and water...

Have you thought to notify the Ozzie birdsites to get people in your area to keep a look out?

I'm so sorry, Nicole. I know exactly how you feel. I hope you find him or that someone else does. At least you are in a climate where there are native flocks and that he has a chance at survival.
