We went to Maine for a week. It was beautiful! But Zakiya stayed home. My friend bird sat for me here at the house. She said Z was good and I was concerned about the fireworks and HUGE party they have here on the lake every year. I am truly amazed with her, when we got home. I walked in and said "Where's my birdie?" From the family room Zakiya yells "What's up?!" It was so cute! She was so happy and made all sorts of kissing noises and talked a blue streak while I held her! She really is so laid back I can't even believe how fun and stress free she is!

Welcome home! So glad Zakiya held no grudges that she didn't get to go on vacation this time. How nice that you had someone that could stay at your house with her.

Where are the pics you promised us? Can't wait to see them.

We are so happy for you two! Nothing like being back together! Glad you had a little R&R. I have to leave Ruby for the first time at the end of the month. You gave me hope that all will be ok.

Hi all! I am trying to upload pics but it keeps saying upload failed. I have sent pics before though. Argh, always a challenge! But....yes Jessalyn, I was nervvous leaving her the first time as well. But truly, she is a very well adjusted bird. I'm sure like Ruby is. I just made sure I had all her meals in baggies per day for my friend so that is was simple for her and familar for Zakiya. Plus I switched all her toys around right before I left to help take the lonesome curse off. Hope this helps!
