Default back to basics

well sort of anyway. Sometimes I sit back and see all that is going on around me in this world and it really starts to bring me down ya know? Sometimes I let it all build up so much I wake up feeling down. Today was one of those days.

I sit down and I hear a bell jingling and Sophie jabbering...................

YouTube - Sophie and her ball

and while I am taping this bunch of silliness, out of the corner of my eye I see this..........................

YouTube - Benji in the bath

of course miss Sophie is NOT to be out down mind you so she heads for her bowl................

YouTube - Sophie bath in a cup

then this evening as it is getting close to bed time for birdies.............. well, Sophie has for the longest time been trying to get to Benji and Crickets play gym. Its way to small for Sophie. Every time she has managed to get to it she really gets mad at me, cage aggressive mad, so it can be a challenge to get her off. As I try to make it a game for her I get her off quickly and with out scarring or bloodshed. lol Tonight I grabbed Benji and Cricket (just in case............) and let them have run of my shoulders and picked up my camera instead.

I am a much more serene and mellow man tonight because of these birds I love so much. So very very much.

That was hilarious. I think Sophie needs a new tub.

How can ya be down with such cuties around. That Sophie is such a funny girl. I'm still laughing at seeing her trying to fit her whole body in that water bowl. What a hoot!!!

Those precious birdies we have!!! Matthew 7:26 Behold the fowls of the air for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? vs. 29 and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

I hear ya, Jim. They do help to 'ground' us, don't they? Whoever would've thought these little balls of fluff and feathers could be so fascinating, and have such enormous personalities?
