So, I went to the local bird store today and look what I found!!!! Sorry about the pics, they were taken on my phone. They had a ton of different baby's. They also had linnies which was the first time I've seen them around here. Mabe I'll go back and take some pics tomorow. This is a baby yellow nape and a baby mexican red head amazon (green cheek). I almost brought home the red head. We're in love

Go for the mexican red head. You can't go wrong with one of those. Even the males are much tamer during hormonal times. I adore them! If I ever get another amazon, it will be the red head.

LMBO, you came to the wrong girl! I own a pet store and amazons are one of the few large parrots I will carry. They do well in almost any home or setting as long as they get the attention and care that they need. Many other types of birds like greys (which I REFUSE to carry in a retail setting) and cockatoos just don't do well in many homes.

Mexican Redheads however have been one of the better amazons that I have had in my store. Redheads, Blue Fronts, Orangewings are my top three favorites as far as adaptablity and personality goes.
