Default any suggestions??

so, the other day I realized that Papi has started to chew on the corner of the wall where his cage is.... I tried havin a heart to heart and tellin him that I simply just did not appreciate it, but that didnt work.....

For now, I will move the cage over a little hopefully out of his reach, but I am a bit space limited... Does anyone have any ideas as to how to keep him from chewin the wall, or somethin I can mabe attatch to the corner??

They make plastic corner thingys. I have also seen people put plexiglass behind cages. (this is what I plan to do)

I would try plexiglass. That is what some people have put on their ceilings above their hoopballs.

Josh.... I too have used plexiglass (polycarbonate) and/or sheet metal. You could also use acrylic (cheaper than plexi).

You could also attach some wire to that side of the cage so Papi could not get his beak thru the larger spacing of the cage bars.

You could also just move the cage 2 inches away from the wall on either side preventing him from reaching it whatsoever with his beak and save all your money.

This only works however for when he is IN the cage

Josh, I think you should just move the Nutri-berries a little closer for him. It's obvious he's just trying to reach around the corner to grab that container!

I think thats what I'll do.. find some sort of Plexi or Acrylic to put on the corner... He doesnt chew on the wall, just the corner.... He cant reach through the cage, just when he's out, which is most of the time...

I know I an do this, but in order for him to not reac when hes ontop of the cage, I;d have to move it pretty far and I like it where it is.... just enough room for me to have a small tv space to myself (ish) without tripping over the cage coming in and out....
