Default Angel has fallen silent

I am an activist, but please....don't let that scare you!
I am sharing an e-mail with you, I am asking for your help!
Is this wrong of me to ask for such help?
Issues like this just don't go away, I pray and wish they would.
I place this before people that know and understand that every animal feels pain.
They suffer all feelings and emotions we humans do.
How are you (the reader) to know of such things happening to animals if I am not allowed to post such material, If I am not allowed to mention such company names.
Am I to just simply shut up, turn my back to all of Mothers creations, am I to do all the crying alone, by myself.
Where does help come from?
Have you ever needed help?
Have you ever needed help and found doors closed, backs being turned upon you?
If so, do you remember how you felt?
This information is now circulating the web, how many bird forums that say they are to help birds are going to delete this post, lock the thread, edit the thread, hide the truth, call fowl play.
Do you think Angel, ( the little one filmed) had that option?????????????
Angels cries need to be heard...not DELETED, not EDITED.
Who, if not you will stand up for Angel......WHO?

If there are any Lawyers out there reading this post, here's my information, all of it!
Call and make your threats to me, You don't scare me what so ever!
Better yet, lets go in front of the judge...YOUR GOING DOWN!

Sincerely!
BrokenWing

but if you shop at PetSmart for ANY reason ... look at the practices
you are condoning. I'm not asking you to become a PETA member, I'm not
even a PETA member. You do not have to be an activist to know right from
wrong and to stand up for such abuse. PLEASE HELP, PLEASE WRITE, PLEASE
stop shopping at PetSmart!! Please share this w/ everyone you know
that shops at Pet Smart ... even if only for fish food!

This is so heartwrenching!!! I've boycotted Petsmart some time ago, I found on two different occasions where there was a sick Cockatiel at our local Petsmart. I forced the employee of that department to get the manager and to get that Tiel to a Vet!!! It was terribly sick! I followed up on the little Teil for several days, but to no avial, the poor precious baby died anyway, I was heartbroken! I will never ever enter or purchase anything from PetSmart as long as I live. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Oh Arty! That is heartbreaking. Just makes me sick.
I vowed last year when seeing poor Pigeons and Dove for sale at PetSmart to never step foot into any of the chain pet stores again. None of the employees knew anything about their care. Out of curiosity, I asked, if I bought one, how would I know how to care for it? They told me to go to the library. (this was after I got Gem so I already knew what you had taught me)

Maybe we should all make regular visits to these stores every once in a while just to snoop. I think I will.

I had my Afa on my lap as I watched that. She put her crest up and looked back and forth from me to the video. She made those same noises as a baby. That really hurt my heart. All I could do was think of taking that woman and doing things to her I really dont want to repeat since I cant do it without 4 letter expletives! Will the bird mills ever stop! If I didnt have to by cat food I wouldnt shop there. But every time I go in the first thing I do is run to the bird cages to inspect. I almost always end up giving them a hard time. That poor little bird starved to death.

i stopped shopping at petsmart a while ago (though i never bought much there to begin with).

that video completely OUTRAGED me and there is a huge lump in my throat now. i don't know who the hell people think they are. i've known about bird mills and their practices, and i know petsmart buys from the worst of them. but even then, seeing this type of thing is so maddening. i am not a member of peta and do not agree with most of their viewpoints/actions, but i hope they are able to convince petsmart to STOP selling animals.

I really doubt Petsmart will stop selling pets. Unfortunately it's too much of a market. I'm not very fond of Peta either, but I'm glad they're educating people on this.

They say that animals are not a commodity - but they are - every day. We have pets & we eat meat. That isn't going to change.

I think its the fault of a lot of large operations that these atrocities happen. Their staff has no interest in these animals - a lot of them. The bottom line is quantity & money. The insensative man doing the bunny nuetering - well he was a good example of someone who has no idea about an animal's rights to a life free of pain & neglect.
[my father's small beef farm is an example to compare to large 'feed-lots' where not only the death rate is considered part of business & things like Mad cow are hidden, the environment is not considered either. We monitor our animals constantly & he never takes an employees word for how they are - as experience has shown they'd rather go home than report a difficult birth, or a cough.]

Not that small breeding set ups aren't run sometimes by bad people. They do have the opportunity to look after a reasonable number of animals. Normally a small breeder has more at stake & wants every animal to do well.

I'm glad this facility was checked out & reported.
More checks should be done to protect these animals - with law to back it up.
In Europe they have the law set to protect the animals
- how they are kept & raised.
Why can't we do this? Are we less than they?

the consumers decide it. if enough people stop shopping there and speak out, we can make a difference.

change can always be made, but everyone has to be willing to work towards it. i think the little ones are worth every bit of work it takes

Me too! For sure.

However, I worry that there are more people who want a convient, fair priced place to shop, than people who really have a passion and care. If they had dogs and cats in the video, I'm sure a lot more people would perk their ears, unfortunately.
