My dad is all worried about me now after watching a show on the news about a lady who has respiratory problems due to living with birds her whole life.

He wants me to look around at air purifiers. What do you all use? What do you recommend? I'm looking for something not too expensive- probably no more than $200. It will just be for the bedroom of my apartment. Thanks!

Good idea! Our family room is 10 x 14, but we have an open concept type first floor. It leads into the kitchen then front room. Silly question, but does the air purifier help the birds health as well? Thank you for the idea! (I LOVE this board!!!!)

yes. All Grey, Tiel and Too owners should have one. for our health and theirs. it cuts down on what they are breathin in as well.
Most dust particles that can be lung damaging to our birds range in the .03-.09 micron range. This means they are small enough for our birds to inhale, but too large to exhale.

Camille, that one looks good to me.

Camille - Hunter is the one that I recommended in a previous thread on air purifiers. I really like mine. I have the replacement filters set up on auto-ship so I never forget to change out the Hepa filter.

Good! For once I actually don't actually have to buy something!

We had an extra filter, so there is a brand new one in there now. I'm anxious to see how dirty the filter gets in my and Ollie's bedroom!
