that is actually a REALLY cool idea. if i knew about something a year in advance, i'd be much more likely to make it to the designated store. who else would be up for that?

I'm a member of 2 skunk groups on yahoo...and they meet up at two different shows twice a year (seperate group shows)...this year will be my first year but it is done at the same place every year...but I thought having it at a seperate place each year would be more fun, it gives us all a chance to experience different places...(glad u like my idea Emily : )

Boo! I'm really bummed out reading all these posts...Josh asked me to go with him but I had a damn birthday party to go to upstate and couldn't do both (much to my chagrin). I do NOTHING every weekend and when something FANTASTIC comes up, I can't go because of some obligation I've been commited to for only two weeks. I wish I could have been there. I was just complaining to Josh about a week ago, that there was nothing like this place near us. But I really wish I could have gone and met ya'll ( not to mention the birds!!!)... Well, I'll get there soon. Great photo's, loved 'em. And Josh, that blue and gold is beautiful! I hope WE get to bring her home in the next couple of days. Talk to ya'll soon!!! -amanda

P.S. I hear skunks make wonderful friends. They don't spray if they're used to people. They always have that musky scent though, like ferrets, being in the same family...But in NY, it's just about impossible to find a vet who will de-gland a skunk (they can't by law I think). But skunks are still cool!!!

We talk about our pet skunks just like we talk about our birds here, we give each other advice on care, hollistic remedys,answer questions when they arise, post pics of our babies, have contests, goto skunk shows, all kiinds of fun stuff...Skunks come in over 20 colors and types.

And back to my toatlly cool idea about having a PC member Bash once a year in different locations held at different bird stores...Anyone wanna help me plan it ? I wanna make it happen !!! We could do fundraisers, & I know a bunch of speakers,breeders, and toy makers from working at BP. It could be lots of fun !!
