Default Southern California fires

It seems that half of the region is on fire. Take a minute to hug the ones you love, and if you are so inclined, I know that the Salvation Army and Red Cross are everywhere and could use any donations you care to make.

Thanks for the reminder CatsChair. I saw this on the news tonight and it's totally devastating. Many prayers are being sent for all involved.

Just took these from my back porch. First picture is no zoom....through pic 3 on full zoom. This is (total guess) on the hill about 10-12 mi away. There is one a little closer, but we can't see it because it is on the other side of the hill.

Remember - these are long exposed due to it being dark... it's not quite this orange to the nekkid eye.

Thanks, my thoughts and prayers are with the residents in or close to this horrible tragedy.

Dana, oh no, that looks close. Have the winds settled at all or changed direction? Please be careful.

Doing ok. Didn't sleep much.

Pictures from overnight..same view I had from my bedroom.. the fire crested the hill that is about 8 mi away. I can't see it right now as the wind is now blowing the smoke this way into the valley. I now have to rely on the shoddy maps given out by the media.

Dana those pictures are so alarming. The air quality there has to be awful. Do you have somewhere safe to go if need be. I know Mike is nearby also. Do you know if he's out of harms way? Prayers going out to everyone.
