Default Ringling Brothers Will Stand Trial For Elephant Abuse

WHOOO HOOOO.....FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY

OK it may be against the PC policy from what I remember to post anything political other than bird related....so sorry and you can spank me no problem.

[Actually, though I think all favorable action to help all animals will help birds in the long run.]

I spend three months a year on this deal. JUST TO TRY AND STOP THE BULLHOOKS. With no success no thanks to our Pa legislators. HRMPH.

When the trial starts PLEASE do something to support it. More later I'm too excited to even research it right now.

That's great news!!I could never watch the large animals in a circus. I always felt sorry for them, especially the elephants. It never seemed natural to be doing some of the tricks they did and they never looked happy. (yes, elephants can look happy). Thanks for sharing the good news.

I'm so glad one of our last Senators was voted out. The last letter his staff sent me about the cruelty of bullhooks said: "yes, I agree the elephant enjoys a long history of service to man and we respect that".then goes on to totally igonre the request and mumbo jumbo about how elephants are great entertainment....HUH? Talk about obtusely missing the point.

I think Arlen Spector would be better but he's so busy with so many issues I can't seem to get enough people to actually take a meeting. Maybe the states can be influenced by a good guilty verdict with enough discovery that citizens make some noise. Of course just not buying tickets would work. Don't know why we can't reach enough of the 302,753,260 U.S citizens.

Yes they don't look happy and prove it by attacking their abusers when given the opportunity even in the wild now assaulting man as a last resort. I guess they've had it with the extreme cruelty involved in elephant trade including stealing their babies to ship over here for humans to gawk at. And conversly they display extreme grief when trecking miles to bury their dead in their elephant mourning ceremonies.
