Petco and Petmart have shut down exotic bird sales in all there stores here in the Twin Cities metro area.
Psittacosis was found in several birds, mainly Cockatiels.
Apparently all birds came from a breeder in Florida.
Just a heads up, one employee tested positive and is being treated as well as all parrots throughout the metro area.
If you are a Parrot Fancier and live here in the Twin Cities, best to stay away from the petshops for awhile.

Thanks for posting that on here. It's always good to know these things...I'm north of the twins cities up in Canada. I hope they clear the problem up before long...
