'Last week on this page, you might have read about Bill, Lynda, Adam and Erin Miller of East Bradford and Buddy, their missing Miniature Hahn's Macaw, who had escaped from his cage on a warm March day in 2007. When we left off, the weather had taken a turn for the worse and the Millers were worried about the fate of their "grass-green" tropical bird ...

Despite the wintry conditions, the Millers kept hoping for good news about Buddy.

"We just continued to hunt for him," Lynda Miller said. The family printed and distributed 60 fliers and even broadcast Internet-downloaded macaw sounds from their deck. Neighbors also took up the cause, with kids and adults combing the wooded vicinity bearing plastic bags full of fresh fruits and vegetables to disperse in an effort to tempt Buddy.
