Not many of you know, but I was diagnosed with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis the first of the year, after suffering for the past several months. I have been lying low, not working, and just trying to keep up with the house. I have found that I have not been able to keep up with Parrot Chatter and for this I apologize. But I am on medication, feeling much better and getting ready to try a natural approach to relieve the pain.

Well, I thought I better check in again. It seems the Rheumatoid Arthritis was only part of the diagnosis. I have Systemic Lupus. I am no longer working at Bird Hut, the bird store in Portland, Oregon. It is not due to my disease that I am no longer working there, I am not working there cause with proper medication I feel better than I have in YEARS!!
I feel good!!

I have plans to go back to school this fall to get my MBA and continue to do the "bird thing" on my own. My mobile grooming business is booming and I will host a table at the local bird fair this April providing grooming, DNA testing, disease testing and consulting on breeding, behavior and care of our avian friends.

Life is good...... just thought I would share.

Lupus, too? Geez.... Good to hear that meds have everything under control, though!
