A German national is due to return to a Dominican court on Monday charged with killing a Sisserou Parrot, one of the island's endangered national birds.
Police said Michael Fray had been released on US$1,800 bail after he was arrested on a charge of killing an endangered specie.
Dominican Hagan Paul has also been charged with a similar offence.
He was granted US$925 bail and will also re-appear in court on March 12.
Both men pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Dominica is home to the Imperial, locally known as the Sisserou, which adorns the national flag, and the Jaco parrot.
