Roy LOVES being on the floor. He knows he has instant access to anything he wants in the house. If only we'd let him, that is

Anyway, he used to do this silly backwards dance before CHARGING forward to pounce on unsuspecting toes. However, if he was too far, his mondo macaw feet would get all tangled on themselves and he'd end up face-down in the carpet. Really funny, he always gets up laughing

Well now it seems he's got his feet in permanent reverse. Yesterday he spent FOREVER running around... backwards. He had his beak on the ground as a rudder and he was scooting as fast as he could in the wrong direction! After a few feet he'd stop and look around as if he didn't really know where he'd end up. Once he spotted something that looked fun (like my bag) he'd go after it... again, reversed

I have no idea what he's doing, but it's mighty cute.

Anyone else have a backwards macaw?

That must be really fun to watch, Hope he doesn't break any tail feathers. Has he backed up and run into anything yet? Would love to see video of this one.

LOL too cute. My two don't go backwards very often, only usually when they are trying to get away from me (or someone). Very adorable, would love to see pics/video of that. Roy sounds like a real riot!

If Roy was a human, he'd be that kid that's in detention every single day for shooting spit wads and recreating Stonehenge out of burger patties in the lunch room.

If I can get a video I will.. unfortunately he thinks the camera is REALLY AWESOME... to eat, that is
