Jessalyn, what happened to cute little Gipper? If its too hard to talk about I understand.
Now I am crying just thinking of how to answer you. In a few words - one morning he couldn't perch. He leaned to his right side as he walked. It was a sunday am and we took him to the animal hospital here in Houston and they tried all kinds of things and tests. 5 days later he died in my arms. The only test we didn't do was the brain scans as we were already into the 1,000's of dollars and I knew he wasn't going to make it, so I took him home where I knew he wanted to be and I held him and prayed and waited. He left me and I wrapped his little body in a cloth I had embroidered and buried him by the pine tree where we loved to sit in the afternoons. He called me "sweet girl". "There you are! sweet girl."
I don't even know how to respond to this Jess. I simply could not imagine. I know if I were to lose Ryan, I would be losing a great friend. I am soooo sorry for your loss. Thankfully you have sweet Ruby there with you now.
