I don't have a Grey-cheeked parakeet; I feel in love with them years ago and have yet to find one

Cassie has some amazing luck, I'll tell you that much! Most Grey-cheeked parakeets are in breeding programs nowadays in hopes to build up their numbers.
I have a Golden-winged parakeet, which is part of the same family (Brotogeris). There are a few breeders out there working the Canary-winged, Orange-chinned, Cobalt-winged and Golden-winged parakeets now. You still aren't likely to find them in your neighborhood pet shop but they are definitely worth seeking out.
You should join the broto list on Yahoo -- LOTS of nice folks.
