Default Video of the dogs playing in the snow!

The dogs have a wonderful time playing in the snow - and eating it - and here are 2 clips of them enjoying the white stuff in our back yard! The only problem is that it was a sunny day so the videos have a reddish tint.

And a pic of the two darlings soaking up some sun:

Yes, they are both back to normal! I think these videos were taken this past Saturday and "the incident" happened last Monday. I'd say by Thursday evening or Friday they were completely back to normal.

On Friday we had a good snow storm and at around 6 or 7pm we were right in the thick of the storm. Wind was blowing like crazy, gigantic snowflakes were coming down. I said to Dave, "let's take the dogs for a walk now!!" We take them for a long walk every day but with the storm he was planning to skip a day. But I knew they'd love it and they had a BLAST. Molly was having a hard time heeling and she was pulling me and I knew she wanted to run. I let her off leash and she absolutely bounded all around and and she had a look of pure bliss on her face as she ran through everyone's yard and ran through the snow drifts.

They look really great. Molly is so big compared to Riley.

Your backyard is dog heaven. Those evergreens must be fun in the summer too.

I am so glad to see those dogs playing after your scare. They are so cute playing together in the snow in your nice size back yard.

Riley really loves the evergreens - she buries things under them and lays under them for shade. She loves lounging in the sun against the fence. The weather lately has permitted us to let them out for 2-3 hours sometimes but I can't wait til spring weather when Molly can really get a taste of the backyard. We raised Riley with tons of outdoor time and the backyard is "hers" so we don't do anything with it other than mow the lawn. They have a dog door to get into the garage too, if they want.

And yeah - Molly is quite a bit bigger!! Riley weighed in at 30 lbs. 2 weeks ago and Molly weighed in at 83 lbs. - she's already down 5 lbs. since she's been with us! She still needs to drop some more, but with the exercise that we plan to give her and having the backyard to run in, and a good diet, we think it will come off easily.

By the summer she will be a different dog. I am very happy for Molly. Its really special that you are doing this.

Funny how hard it is to convince people even tho we know they're going to be washed over with that special feeling you get from accepting a rehome.

I have some great news too - We wondered if our friend [lost a cat this winter] would consider a rescue & at first he said no, even tho I said they often come up with purebreds. Well he reconsidered & presto a wonderful new cat appeared - funny how that will happen. It's a mix of 2 Asian breeds & was the sick kitten, when they were relinquished to the shelter. Apparently it wasn't a happy story but that's all I know. But the story is ending happily. Already Pixel is a hoot.

We adore Molly thus far and we are so excited for her to be able to enjoy more and more things as the weather warms up. This is both our first time having 2 dogs and also our first rescued dog so it's been a very enlightening and eye-opening experience (just as Winston gave us a huge eye-opening experience through his achievements). I have a whole post in mind that deals with how much my flock and now my pack has taught me - it's been very profound lately because of our efforts to integrate Molly into the pack.

That's great that your friend went ahead and rescued a cat! I love the name Pixel. It is true how many purebreds you can come across - we were in no way looking for a purebred when we found Molly, but once I came across her profile on Petfinder I was excited because I've always admired the Weimaraner breed - I never thought I'd actually get one any time soon!!
