Default Regurgitating

So I saw Lucy regurgitating today. It was so bizzare. She has never down this before. One minute she just sitting there then the next she does a really reeally small bob and poof! There's a who lot of soup-food. Is this normal?

That's the weirdest part, she was just sitting on her perch regurgitating. Maybe it was because she was next to one of her favorite toys?

Be careful not to confuse vomiting with regurgitation. When a bird regurgitates, there is a previous and deliberate pumping up and down of the head so they can bring up the food from the crop into the beak. This is usually done in a controlled and calm manner and the food brought up us is offered to a loved one or placed on an object. No mess around the face, head or even beak or around its environment. When the food is brought up suddenly, with just a flick of the head, and there is a mess, it's not regurgitation, it's vomiting and it's a symptom of something.
