Default Manau, never forgotten.

A year passed this January since you went. Never forgotten. You help birds all over the world.
A bird that was loved by many. Your passing devastated us all.
Manau, my best friend.

In Life You Always Followed Me,

In Death You Now Watch Over Me.

My Friend, I'll Always Remember You.

The tears roll down my cheeks now, I have never gotten over losing her. Don't think I ever will. She was my buddy, companion, my best mate. Even to help people on her forum, it hurts me.

Manau was a bird that came up to you like in the picture of me and her, she did that. That is how much she loved me. She sought me out, climbed down her ladder and walked into the room where I was, looking for me. I was lucky to have a friend like her. She was one of a kind.

I was blessed to have one of Gods creatures at their most intimate, most vulnurable times. She trusted me. She loved me to the end.

I just looked over Manau's site and again was brought to tears. I couldn't imagine having to go through that with one of my birds...it must have been so painful for you...I am so sorry. But you took her in after finding her on the side of the road....and gave her love until she passed. She is looking down on you with appreciation and waiting to see you again some day.

But I do know the feeling of total loss...I lost my 25 year old amazon last Mother's Day...very unexpectedly and fast. THe pain never goes away.

another thread brought back my memories and made me feel like posting here.

glad I can come back to it and post again. I am crying at the moment. I just can't seem to get over the loss of her.

it is probably caught up with feelings over my father. this I know.
when he was dying so was manau. manau was something to hang onto. how could I lose 2 most important things in my life in such a short time.

so cruel, both of their deaths, both struggled, both in pain, both trying to breathe. It will haunt me till my end watching them suffer so.

My Dad, remembered 4/08/06 Manau 19/01/07

Think I should get some grief councelling aye. No one ever gave me the chance to catch my breath, let alone put an arm round me and give me a hug for the losses.

I love you! So precious, yet so painful! I still cry over my Gipper too. He was also my best friend. K&OP
