Default A bit about Peggy.

She was dropped off at the vets for euthanazia. I happened in there for something dog related. I built up a friendship with my vet who treated Manau, (she had been gone for a couple of months).

My vet called me out back in the surgery, here in this white shabby cage was this how can I describe her, for she did not look like a bird. I will post the picture of her when I first took her. My vet said she would take her home rather than put her to sleep but she had already too many PBFD birds to look after, would I take her. I was hesitant, I had just lost Manau, but looking at this poor little waif I said yes.
I told myself I would not get attached and looking at the state she was in and my vets opinion about her having PBFD we both expected her to go a couple of months.
Well here we are a year later, Peggy is as boundless as ever, her skin has changed color and she seems healthy in every way.

As I posted in my introduction, I just had her tested, the expected result is Positive. I needed to know, what I was dealing with though, so we now await the results.

Here are some pictures of Peggy. From when I first picked her up to what she looks like today.

I am actually in tears reading about her and looking at her pics...Wow! Thank God there are people like you to help those that need it....she looks sooo good compared to when you first got her! And you have so far given her a year of happiness when others were giving up on her! I am so impressed by what you have done.

Yeh, how could I say no to her. She is a doll. She can also be quite hilarious at times.
More fun watching her than the tv. She talks and plays. Still haven't been able to get her to go onto my hand but she did let me change her jumper yesterday without running away and sqwarking, so we are progressing.
She does let me stroke her and kiss her though, she gives kisses back.
I snuggled her in her warm jumper yesterday, she is so soft and toasty in it.
