A bit about Peggy. She was dropped off at the vets for euthanazia. I happened in there for something dog related. I built up a friendship with my vet who treated Manau, (she had been gone for a couple of months).
My vet called me out back in the surgery, here in this white shabby cage was this how can I describe her, for she did not look like a bird. I will post the picture of her when I first took her. My vet said she would take her home rather than put her to sleep but she had already too many PBFD birds to look after, would I take her. I was hesitant, I had just lost Manau, but looking at this poor little waif I said yes.
I told myself I would not get attached and looking at the state she was in and my vets opinion about her having PBFD we both expected her to go a couple of months.
Well here we are a year later, Peggy is as boundless as ever, her skin has changed color and she seems healthy in every way.
As I posted in my introduction, I just had her tested, the expected result is Positive. I needed to know, what I was dealing with though, so we now await the results.
Here are some pictures of Peggy. From when I first picked her up to what she looks like today. |
