Default Funny Bunnies

Y'all may or may not know that I now have 3 buns; 2 lionhead sisters, and one male french lop. These guys are significantly different in size. First, the 2 sisters, who each weigh a little less than 2.5 lbs:

And here they are, sitting on top of Hazel's cage, so you can see the size difference. Hazel weighs 12.5 lbs--10 pounds more than either of the bun sisters:

This is why they'll never get to "play" together :-).

what cute Buns!!!! I came 2 inches away the other day from bringing home an ADORABLE albino lionhead bun. What are their personalities like? My mini lop is pretty laid-back.

I LOVE lionhead personalities. They're nice little buns. Like all buns, they can be skittish if startled, but they're not inclined to scratch or bite, and sit quietly in your lap or in your arms as long as they feel secure.

I like lionheads also because you get some of the beauty of longhaired rabbits (they're longhaired all over as babies), but not the hassle of grooming. They shed the long hair everywhere but around their necks, bottoms and legs, so what you end up with looks rather like a lion, with cute li'l bunny manes :-).

There is no way I'm showing those photos to my son! Ever since our cat passed away he's been eager to get something to cuddle. The Budgies are not cuddly. Luckily he cat sits so gets his cat fix weekly.

I think they are all adorable. Your Lop ear is a beauty. How's his personality? Are all your buns fixed?

If I was to get a Bun I'd get a pair that already are bonded - not always m/f. You see them at the shelter already bonded. It was fascinating reading about rabbit's needs & their reactions. I was surprised to read that they can attack a strange rabbit, so pairing them up can be tricky.

Are yours caged most of the time & who is the one who loves to cuddle Bunnies? - you?

I see the cage you have for the lop-eared is fairly big. Is the cage for the 2 sisters also big? Do they get out to run around? Have heard they can be pretty funny zipping around - kind of dog-like. What's the big guy's personality like?

Sorry about all the Q's.

Awww... how precious! I miss having a house bunny! When my ex and I split I took the dog & he kept the bunny. They are so smart and funny! Mine was litter trained which was surprisingly easy to do. I sure do miss watching him run through the house leaping and kicking his feet out to the side when he was really excited.
