Default Pretty Bird Brand

Hi Everyone,

I haven't given up and continue to try to get Dozy to eat pellets - what a battle! I have tried every brand there is to try and have tried feeding them to her in many different ways to get her to eat them with no success. I think for the first time yesterday there was evidence (I saw broken pellets in her bowl and pellets on the bottom of her cage!) the she may have tried to eat pellets - how exciting!!!!! The brand was Pretty Bird Daily Select Medium. Not crazy about it being the colored pellets but at least it's pellets. Does anyone use this brand and is it ok?

That is the brand Ruby eats. That is what the people that were raising her were feeding her, so I just stuck with it. She really doesn't eat that much of it now though. I give her too much other stuff! ha! But she eats some every day. I am so glad that Dozy is starting to try them. That's great!

This is also what my Zons and Quaker eat. I've used it for years, although now as I learn more, I mix other types of pellets in and feed much less pellets than fresh foods. Its still the Zon's first choice though. Jewel gets it mixed in a bit, but never touches it.

I just wanted to say that your bird is sooo pretty. It almost looks like a painting. Beautiful face. My neighbour has a gray, she got it from another family that lives in our town. I was next in line if my neighbour didn't want him...I lost out, he stole their hearts....oh well

Hi Nadine,

Thank you for the nice compliment. I'm sorry that the grey didn't work out for you. If you have the time, patience occomodations for a grey I hope you are lucky enough to have one one day. BTW I have a cockatiel that looks just like yours - ciao
