Default Rio caught his foot

Rio caught his foot in the Keyboard this morning.

He's a little devil, as he follows Laker everywhere - his noisy entourage. He tends to jump onto the keys. He kind of jumps down on them like onto a trampoline. He doesn't land lightly at all & has often set the computer to do things I didn't intend.

This morning he landed beside the shift key & slid his foot off & down. I guess the keys opened & then when he tried to pull up they closed. I was able to free him right away but when he flew back to the play perch he was holding his foot up, pressed to his body. He was all a tremble.

When i tried to see it properly he immediately stood on it as if there was no trouble. I've been following him around but he seems to land & hold onto my hair without any trouble. So far he hasn't tried to land on the keyboard again.

Poor Rio! Back when my nails were longer, I was known to do the same. Give him a scritch for his boo boo.

Poor Rio, I feel sorry for the boy, must have been like putting your foot in a trap.

A trap - Yes that's what it was like. I was a bit freaked myself getting him free. He was biting at me as I was getting his foot out - thank goodness Budgies bite lightly. On reflection I think he wasn't attacking me just attacking the area around his foot.

He's all over me, constantly landing on my head & talking up a storm. I've kept an eye on him & he seems to be OK.

Good that he ok, it seems bad to say but I wish my keyboard could make my Peanut think it is a dangerous place, he eats my keyboard.

Poor you - Peanut is such a great bird but a little devil, like most of them.

We don't wish them ill - just maybe some intervention.

Rio's been 'around' the keyboard but hasn't jumped back on. Laker was walking on them when I came in & I imagined in my mind Rio saying, 'Get off. Didn't you see what happened to me this morning?'. Rio was staying on the table.

Poor Rio! At least it doesn't seem to be bothering him anymore. Good that he's more cautious about the keyboard (for today at least). I had to laugh when you said he jumps onto the keyboard and makes the computer do something unintended!
