I watched it & thought his handling techniques were very good. He was very focused when he had to be. He certainly knew where to put his hands. The examination info was pretty interesting as well.

I imagine the bird was exhausted by the end. But I also compliment him that the bird was handled with care and respect.

I agree with him when he says the hands communicate - have power.

Unfortunately it is a bit hard to hold a Budgie without it getting sweaty - they're so small. But the next time I trim Laker's nails I'm going to see if I learned anything from the video.

I agree! I learned a lot. I wish we would have been able to see the blood feathers. That would have been helpful to many.

The man stole my heart. I could so relate to what he was doing with placing his hands on the bird to impart a calming energy along with talking the bird into a calm state. My favorite and something I do everyday, tell my birds "Thank you."

I took time today to watch the video and very much enjoyed several things about it. While handling the bird, the trainer mentioned handling like a baby, saying the word "calm" and "thank you" softly. He moved his hands very slowly always so as not to upset the bird. As he said, the bird doesn't know what the words mean, but feels the emotions of the person saying them. These are good tips whenever we handle our birds. Not to mention that it was a BP2!
