Hello.
I dropped in to post an ad for a parrot cage today. Figured I'd say hello in this section as well.
Much of my time is spent on arborist / tree forums, so excuse me for being a bit of a dead-beat on bird forums. Often I read more than post. And my wife is the real bird person of the family.
But I do have 2 conures - or they have me. Gizmo and Gidgette. Their favorite time is in the evening when I hold them on my hand during a show, or they have a snack from the other end of my plate over a towel on my chest.
A few small cropped images of a few of our birds are on my safe woods for birds page...

So that green cheek conure on there is Gizmo. He likes to perch on my thumb and rest his back in my palm like an easy chair where he goes to sleep for about a 1/2 hour. With an occassional opening of the eye to keep an eye on sounds.
In checking my image files, I see that there is one image of both Conures about 2 days after we got Gidgette as a companion for Gizmo.
Gizmo is not near as "family-friendly" after we got Gidgette, but I'm convinced that Green Cheek Conures are a community critter that are really happy when they have a companion or buddy throughout the entire day.
My wife has an African Grey, a Blue and Gold Macaw, and an Indian Ringneck Parakeet.
