Angry As if Angel doesn't have enough problems---

I think he has an ingrown feather! It almost looks like a "white head" zit without the white part.

I dont think I (or my bank account) can take many more vet appts...

I didn't know they could get "ingrown feathers"! Keep us posted on what becomes of it.

How about a warm tea bag compress also. They work very well for clogged pores and ingrown hairs in humans and other mammals. Of course, birds are quite different but I think the actions of the tannins in the tea would be the same and draw the toxins out and reduce the swelling. Remember the tea bag should be just warm not hot.

Yes, I read in the Princ & Practices book as well as the web that he'll have to have it removed. I'm not going to do anything other than keep him comfortable till Monday----I don't want to make matters worse by poking at it myself.

I just feel bad for him, he's been through he** already.
