Default Jayde N Mateo

Here are Jayde and Mateo, my yellow naped and blue fronted amazon.

Jayde is a shy bird. Not fond of new people or new surroundings. She is 2 years old. She absolutely loves my son and will display for him and show how pretty she is. She never started talking until she was about a year old but now she talks a mile a minute. Some cute things she says are: "is that yummy yummy yummy", "do do ta do Charrrge", makes a rolling sound with like we do withour tongue and then says "fiesta". I could go on with a bunch more but the message would be pretty long.

Mateo is 3 years old and can rival an african gray in the sounds and words and singing. He loooooooves to sing. He sings parts of "twinkle twinkle little star", "i'm a little teapot" and we do a song with the tune of "doggy in the window" but we rephrase it with birdy in the window. Matoe is very outgoing, not scared of a thing and the louder it gets, the happier he is. He is not a hands on bird and prefers to stay on or about his cage and have vocal interaction.

Here are the pics:

They're adorable! I've always loved zons. I'm also curious if they're buddies or not.

These two are the best of buds. They both have separate cages due to sexing but spend most of their day out and together. When one leaves the room, the other hollers and vice versa.

They do talk to each other, imitate each and even finish each other's sentences. Actually my blue front finishes my napes sentences most of the time. He loves her to pieces and hangs off her every word... LOL

That is so funny! Just like a married couple. They are both beautiful. I just love Zons eyes, they are so expressive.

I really like their names, did you name them?
