Default Peanut went to school

Peanut went to fetch my daughter from school today. He was in a very good mood and was happy to be passed from child to child. This is a major achievement for my boy as he likes to make holes in strangers and he wont usually leave his shoulder perch. He did some free flight demonstration also. The children were somewhat worried to see my boy hanging from one foot in a really high tree. He seems to enjoy this position to drop directly onto my shoulder like an eagle in a dive.

My granddaughter wanted me to take her budgies to school for part of the day...found out they have a no animals in school rule. Sounds like Peanut had a good day.

Peanut just went for a few minutes to the gate. I am not sure I would take budgies cos they not that brave among crowds. Conures can be quite the ham in front of audience. Later in the year I am sure they will all be invited for show and tell.

I'll bet he was a big hit with the kids! Glad to hear he was on his best behavior, funny how they can rise to the occasion sometimes.

Congrats on the socializations! So glad Peanut didn't eat anyone. What a ham - hanging in the tree.

You have done wonderfully with him - what a pleasure to take him places.

thanks all, maybe I fed him enough before going out that he did not feel the need for blood transfusions. He seemed to enjoy it.
