he has been flying around and falling to rug not hard though. I especially went out of my way to make him move faster beat his wings per say. to see if he was going to bleed again..
so far no blood and he is just as fiesty.. I am still having the luck of getting him to step up on finger and put him on shoulder...
am hopin g that he pulled out the quill himself..
QUESTION:
if it doesnt bleeed will I need to take him to vet STILL. or will it come out with new feather that grows there
i am not in position to drive half hour especially in this weather ( its minus 30 with wind chill factor.). with a budgie that seems healthy..right now... and yet I dont want this to hurt him
I agree with Susan, if he's not bleeding and he's acting fine, I don't think you'll need a vet visit. The only reason that I took Jerry in was because his quill was still in and it bled a second time.
Have you decided what to do to the partition to make it safer?
If it addresses the problem, maybe try rope tacked on the top of the partition to act as a continuous perch?
