off to a nursing home tomorrow

An aunt of mine owns and runs a nursing home up in Arklow for the eldery, so while we were drunk on monday night at my brithday we decided what a great idea it would be to bring the fids up to see the patients

I suppose its not a BAD idea just a bit of a pain.. but anyway we are off up there tomorrow for a few hours, Marley is coming to talk to everyone, Zuppy is hopefully just gonna sit there and be pretty and occasionally utter the words "happy zuppy christmas".. and a few rude ones, I have no idea how he learned them but if I find out who taught him I'll go after them with a wooden spoon!!

anyway Tangos the one who will be passed around, she loves it.. just not sure, I'm thinking of clipping her wings a wee bit so she can still fly but not as far.. because I wont have full control over her while shes with the patients I don't want her flying off and out a window or door..
Hopefully it will be a good day, I have the camera charged and ready, and hopefully nobody will be going away with war wounds!

We took Mango, our Caninde to an Assisted Living home, and the residents just adored him. He is docile and he made their day. Fun and rewarding to watch.

Geez, you scared me for a second Jayn. I though something happened to you and you were being put into a Nursing Home.

LOL I thought the same thing! Good luck with it though, we used to take our dogs to see my grandfather when I lived back in Newfoundland and all the people there loved it. I'd take my fids to do something like that only Maple might eat someone!

What a great idea!! I bet everyone will love it!

Last year I brought Papi in to work with the autistic children and they all loved it.

Animals are nvery thereputic, let us know how it goes!

What a wonderfull way to spend your day. Our elderly have so little to look forward too and i'm sure your flock will be a big hit with these folks. I'm sure the "rude" language that some fool taught them will get a few chuckles too

Well, like other folks, my first thoughtwas that the authorities had finally caught on to you and you were being put away

. The birds will be great for the seniors. I know a place near here that put in a big aviary with small birds and even a lot of patients who are in worlds of their own will sit and watch them. You are a good egg, Jayne!
