Does Your birds talk in context to each other??? One of the things I find most fascinating with the birds is that they DO talk in context, not just to us but to each other. The macaws talk to each other in human talk not macaw talk, EVER!
Like when Pebbles my B&G is playing with BamBam my Scarlet and she get to rough for him, He will say " No Pebbles, Stop it, That Hurts" or "No Pebbles, Ouch" He tell her to "Step up and come here Pebbles" when he wants her to come to him. Every time he tells me "I'm sick" or "I don't fell good" we have had a vet bill coming. He has been right every time. He says dozens of other things in context to her and to us, full complete sentences, that he put together, with the I and You in place in the sentences, like with nouns and verbs thing. They don't talk AT ALL in Macaw talk.
I get that they learn things, they talk back to us, in words they hear us say and sometimes use it in the right context.
But what blows me away, like my Macaws, is that they talk totally in context to each other in HUMAN words and NEVER talk to each other in macaw talk, which is screams and noises made by say macaws in the natural.
Not sure if I'm explaining it right but,
Just wondering how many other are amazed at this. |
