Default In the sky Mr Alex! In the sky!

Every morning my ritual is, Alex comes out of his cage after Mr Buddy and he helps me to open the blinds. He has a window view from his cage. So through the day I always ask him questions "See any birds? Any birds high in the sky Mr Alex?" When we do see birds flying I always say "Look Mr Alex! Theres birds in the sky!" Well today I bring him out, give him hugs and foot kisses and open the blinds. We stand there looking out and I clear the sleep from my eyes. My resident hawk did a fly by with his bright white chest catching my attention and Alex let out his screech "RRRRRREEEEK REEEEEK REEEEK" then he said "in the sky....Mr AL-ex! In the sky!! Mr Al-ex! Mr Al-ex!! In the sky!!" He said it over and over. He held onto my finger for dear life, crest up, and those pretty brown eyes were so round. He is so smart, and so pretty.

We love Alex! Those sweet greys and their ability to talk amazes me. My Gipper used to say "see, itty bitty birdies" when he sat in my kitchen window and saw the humming birds at their feeder a foot away! Neat story!

What a sweet boy! Poor thing! I'm surprised he was able to speak while being scared...when something frightens Ollie the only noise she'll make is a scream. She won't say a word until the "danger" is long gone!
