I've had a request for Lulu videos (which I was planning on doing all along!), and here are her first 3 solo videos (well, with a brief cameo from Winston and some background budgie noises ):

All of them were great. She is one sweet girl. I loved the first one - she stole my heart - she couldn't get enough love. The second one really got me thinking about the next time I visit the farm - I have to get the Tiels a play basket & some balsa wood too. The last video was really cute. I love to watch them preen - it is so cool they are so trusting to just hang. I thought it was rather a nice touch that Dave spirited her away. She looked grand on his shoulder.

Aside - Jack got Guitar hero 3 today - they're having a play-off [or what ever they're calling it!] at school.

The basket has been a huge hit for everyone. Originally I made it just for Lulu and now all 3 love it. It's just a basket that I bought for maybe a dollar at a craft store (untreated & unpainted, 'cause they all love to chew on the basket too). I have a heavy, large knotted toy in the bottom to weight it and I fill it with pieces of balsa wood, those little munch balls, straws, pieces of paulie rope, chinese finger traps, a few bells for Jerry, pieces of plastic chain, sisal rope, various foot toys, little plastic toys like those tiny pacifiers, etc. Just tons of stuff they can chew on and take out (they always have a fun time taking things out and throwing them on the floor). They rummage around through all the stuff so it's a neat foraging activity too.

Thanks for the hint about weighing the basket down. Rio loves the basket you gave him so much - but recently I noticed he's not playing with it. The poor thing is pretty ragged in places. They love the grapevine trellis & working the wood, so it's their new fav. I'll look around for a basket for them too.

Yep, I noticed right away that if they stood on the little handles on the end that it would tip over, even when filled with lots of little toys. So something heavy to weight it down was necessary. They all love chewing on the basket itself too, I was just saying tonight that it's pretty chewed up and I should pick up another one.

she is just so sweet,and can tell she loves her mommy,I wish more people would realize what great little birds these guys are,they have such great personalities.

I know! Lulu has been this sweet since the day we brought her home, just about 2 years ago. She does like me, and she likes my husband even more!

I hate hearing how many tiels get tossed aside when they really are so wonderful.

Thats just it these guys along with Parakeets are considerd throw away pets,and it is so sad as they have just as much personality as the big birds,sometimes I think more.
