AKA, Bowie's Lovely Tail.

I ask you this--Do you think Macaws are aware of their great beauty? Judging from Bowie's constant preening of his long, beautiful (even for a worn out thing that's ready to be molted in favor of a new one :-) tail, and the rest of his gorgeous, sunshine self, I can't help but think that he may be rather vain! LOL! Take a look at these pix and tell me what YOU think:











Notice that the two "lovebirds", Rowan and Bowie, are inseparable as always, and take part in choreographed preening rituals :-). I wonder how and if their relationship will change as they grow up?

I do not know if they realize it but I certainly do.

I am in awe of their beautiful colors.

some of mine have really long tails as well. Now I'm going to have to measure...

I have, longest we've had here is 24" though. Bowie's tail looks to be about 30".

I'll see if I can measure it sometime. Getting him to hold still is gonna be the hard part :-).
